Four Generations {Eugene Area Photographer}

This family shoot was really fun for me. One of the members of the family was my flower girl when I got married back in 2006. She is now in 7th grade and it's really fun to see how she (and her brother and sister!) have grown since they were all super little when I got married :-) I just happened to find a photo of me with the two flower girls from my wedding and thought it'd be fun to post that for comparison! Morgan is the little girl on the right in the first photo.

The family was comprised of four generations and it was so amazing to see all four together. It's such a great treasure getting to see Great-Grandparents and their Great-Grandchildren together. I love seeing the legacy that is being passed down with each generation, it's amazing! What really made my evening was watching the youngest of the grandchildren telling Great-Grandma stories while others were getting their photos taken. I just had to snap a few shots, it melted my heart!

I'm pretty sure he was telling her Star Wars stories :-)

Senior Rep, Beth, Class of 2013 {Eugene Area Photographer}

First of all, I love doing sessions with people who are not afraid of the camera. Beth was absolutely a blast to work with and so hilarious! Beth is my Senior representative for the school year and we met up this past weekend for her session. Beth has an amazing spirit and a great smile. I love her photos and I hope you do too!

And Baby Makes Three! {Edmonds Area Photographer}

I have to start off by saying that Michelle is one of my oldest friends. We met in the first grade and have remained friends since. (In case you're wondering, that's over twenty years) :-) I am so excited for Michelle and Kirby and the newest little bundle who will be here any day now. Seriously, any day. She's due on September 16!

I met up with the pair at Edmonds Beach, just before sunset. It was absolutely beautiful out and a perfect time to take photos. Congratulations, Michelle and Kirby! I cannot wait to see your baby boy!

Katrina + Dan {Camano Island Wedding}

This wedding was absolutely an honor to be a part of. Katrina, the bride, and I have been friends since we became the pastor of the church where her family attended when we were 10 & 11 (roughly) and we have been friends since! She might not remember, but we used to ride bikes around her neighborhood, which was country/woods to this city kid. :-) One time, she told me that people had reported a mountain lion around the neighborhood and then said, "Let's go ride bikes!". Um....! Of course, my parents pushed us to go ride around, I'm not sure whether they'd heard about the whole mountain lion thing or not, but I was not too willing to take such a risk! I did and I remember planning how fast I would pedal to get away from this cat that I later found out would have definitely run faster than I would ever ride.

We survived without spotting anything and have kept in touch over the years. I had the honor of photographing her sister's wedding, so when Katrina asked if I would want to shoot hers, I couldn't wait to be there for her, too. The wedding was beautiful and Katrina and Dan are such a wonderful couple. I had such a wonderful time capturing their special day and I am so happy for the two of them. Congratulations, Katrina and Dan! I wish you the best and hope that your marriage is truly blessed!

Meet Rueben {9 Days New}

I love babies. I honestly think newborns are one of the best things ever. They're so tiny and snuggly, it's just so wonderful and calming to hold a sleeping newborn close. I got to snuggle up with Little Rueben this Thursday. He slept for the entire first half of the session and then thought it'd be fun to wake up and look all around for the second half. I like to think he wanted me to make sure I got a few good shots of his killer blue eyes. :-)

Sweet Nicholas Turns Two {Bothell Area Photographer}

This little guy is probably one of the sweetest boys I've ever met! Seriously. The minute I walked in the door, he came over to me, took my hand and said, "I wanna show you trains!" He was absolutely insistent that I see all of his cool toys and he held my hand the whole way upstairs. That sweetness combined with his cute little voice made my heart melt. It made me look forward to the day that my little guy gets to be that age. I only hope that he's as sweet as Nicholas :-) Happy Second Birthday, Sweet Nicholas! You are such a handsome and wonderful little boy!
